Climate and Terrain

Dos Mil olive oil obtains its distinctive taste from the climate, geography and vegetation of Tarragona, a province in Catalonia.

Catalonia - on the northern Mediterranean - possesses the idea growing conditions for this delicate, aromatic and fruity oil. Where cooler sea breezes temper Spain's hot sun, we enjoy the warm, sunny and dry climate favored by the olive tree.

Arbequina Olives

Arbequina oil has a light body, an elegant texture and an amazing fruit with no bitterness. Harvested later in the season, the oil takes on a smooth nutty finish and a rich golden color. Considered by some to be "the caviar of olives," the Arbequina is a small olive native to Catalonia. It possesses a well-balanced organoleptic profile, displaying all of the flavors possible for olive oil:

Dos Mil, with its fruity and delicate taste, is an excellent oil for making salads, drizzling on soups and breads, and flavoring meat and fish dishes. Here are a few typical Catalan dishes for you to sample:

An Artisan Oil

We grow and craft the oil in small quantites. The result is pure, all-natural and extraordinarily delicious.

The Dos Mil label prominently features its year of issue so that you know when the oil is at its best. Unlike wines, olive oils gradually lose flavor as they age.

Tip: Keep your oil away from heat and light to maintain its nutritional qualities and consume it within two years.
